<\/strong>Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn, best known as Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis in Prime Video\u2019s \u201cOff Campus<\/a>,\u201d will star in Quinn<\/a>\u2018s three-episode immersive original audio romance \u201cRent Free.\u201d This marks the second Quinn Originals duet production, following Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie\u2019s \u201cEmber & Ice.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tA preview of episode one is available now on Quinn.\u00a0Episodes 1 and 2 will premiere at 9 p.m. PT on May 27.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cRent Free\u201d follows two people who are complete opposites: \u201cfeisty, charismatic, no-nonsense painter\u201d Nora living in New York City, and \u201ccocky, infuriatingly charming former jock turned investment banker\u201d Jack, who \u201cnavigate post-college growing pains in close proximity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHere\u2019s the full logline: \u201cWithin the span of 24 hours, Nora\u2019s life implodes. She gets cheated on, loses her apartment, and suddenly has nowhere to go. With no other options, she moves in with Jack \u2014 her best friend\u2019s older brother. Jack\u2019s life is built on routine: work, the gym, casual hookups, repeat. But Nora\u2019s arrival throws everything off balance. What starts as a temporary arrangement quickly turns into something far more complicated, and things get messy \u2014 fast. \u2018Rent Free\u2019 immerses audiences in an intoxicating romance about one apartment, zero boundaries, and two complete opposites.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFounder and CEO of Quinn Caroline Spiegel notes, \u201cOur users instantly responded to the chemistry between Mika and Stephen on screen. The connection they bring to this story feels electric, intimate, and real \u2014 they were the perfect pairing for this kind of immersive duet experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSpiegel launched Quinn in 2021 with its mission to redefine erotica<\/a> with immersive storytelling; Quinn Originals was introduced the following year, the most cinematic of their productions, with intimate experiences performed by acclaimed talent. Recent Originals have been voiced by Shawn Hatosy and Christopher Briney \u2014 two names that drew the attention of Kalyn and Abdalla.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI had heard about Quinn before when I saw Chris Briney on it, and I did some digging. I found out Quinn was a graphic, but beautiful storytelling app,\u201d he says with a laugh, \u201cand I thought \u2014 I want to be a part of this. This sounds great.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAbdalla, meanwhile, had seen videos about Hatosy, with whom she\u2019d worked on \u201cThe Pitt.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFans really resonate with Dean and Allie. They\u2019re a spicy couple, and this is a little tease for what\u2019s to come,\u201d Kalyn says of their \u201cOff Campus\u201d pairing, who were introduced in Season 1 and will be explored further<\/a> in the second season. Abdalla adds, \u201cBoth sets of characters have very specific fronts that they use to deny their attraction to one another. They both dip into vulnerability and then back out because they\u2019re afraid. And I think that\u2019s really fun to show to the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe continues: \u201cIn modern romance, we\u2019re too nonchalant. People are not expressing their feelings and desires enough, so it\u2019s really fun to see these stories about desire. We have to start yearning again.\u201d To that, Kalyn replies, \u201cBring back yearning! 2026 \u2014 don\u2019t stop yearning!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAbdalla is also very aware of the many ways romances have been adapted.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI realized how different people\u2019s tastes in romance are. There are so many different tropes, subplots, and things that other people love to see, and everything being written about is happening to somebody,\u201d she says. Kalyn adds, \u201cExactly. The stories make you feel seen and heard. Also, who doesn\u2019t love stories of people falling in love?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Tuesday, Prime Video announced that \u201cOff Campus,\u201d based on Elle Kennedy\u2019s books, became the third most-watched debut series<\/a> in the history of the app with 36 million viewers in its first 12 days of streaming.<\/p>\n
