Rinna, 62, argued the country has already “done that” when it comes to reality stars<\/a> crossing into politics.<\/p>\n While “The Real Housewives” star explained she wasn’t sure who she would be voting for, Rinna revealed she’s not interested in seeing another reality TV takeover of public affairs.<\/p>\n “Not a reality star, though,” Rinna told Variety<\/a> at the American Music Awards on Monday. “I’m sorry. I love him, but we\u2019ve already done that. But I don’t know.”<\/p>\n The “Days of Our Lives” star confessed she\u2019s puzzled by the growing interest surrounding Pratt<\/a> among Hollywood circles.<\/p>\n “You got me,” she said. “Because listen, I\u2019m a reality person. You wouldn\u2019t want me as mayor, really. I mean, let\u2019s just face it, I love him. I think he\u2019s amazing. I just think we did that.”<\/p>\n Pratt fired back at Rinna while also taking aim at Los Angeles’ current mayor, Karen Bass.<\/p>\n “Hey Lisa, if you’re against me because I was on a TV show in my 20’s, wait til you learn what Karen Bass was doing in her 20’s…” he wrote on X<\/a> while sharing an edited video of an interview he did with Fox 11.<\/p>\n “[Bass] was in Cuba learning how to make bombs with the people that would then go bomb Capitol Hill,” Pratt said in the video. “So, if we’re looking at backgrounds, I’m pretty proud of what I was doing at 20 on reality television. The career politician said on “Meet the Press<\/a>” that she traveled to Cuba to help construct homes in her late teens and early 20s. (Monica Schipper\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n At the end of Rinna’s interview with Variety, the “Real Housewives” alum seemed to confuse Los Angeles’ mayoral race with California’s gubernatorial contest.<\/p>\n “Let\u2019s have somebody that\u2019s already been mayor \u2014 the mayor of San Jose, or whoever,” she explained, bringing up Matt Mahan.<\/p>\n “I like him,” Rinna noted. “I like him for governor.”<\/p>\n Rinna’s comments were met with backlash online.<\/p>\n Lisa Rinna said she doesn’t want another reality TV star in politics. She’s not fighting insurance companies or watching her neighborhood get destroyed. Yet she’s out here telling West LA who we should vote for while pushing the same career politicians who’ve failed us for years.”<\/p>\n Another wrote, “Pratt is far from perfect as a candidate… but what’s the alternative? People of LA can not keep the status quo. Your city is devolving into a lawless hell hole. You need to try something different.”<\/p>\n Pratt, who lost his home in the deadly 2025 Palisades wildfire<\/a>, announced he was running for mayor Jan. 7.<\/p>\n Pratt told a crowd at a fire anniversary event<\/a> that “this just isn\u2019t a campaign, this is a mission. (MEGA\/GC Images)<\/p>\n The event, They Let Us Burn!, was a rally critical of state and local government\u2019s handling of the Jan. 7 wildfire that killed 12 people and destroyed thousands of homes.<\/p>\n In the aftermath of the fire, Pratt emerged as an outspoken critic of Gov. Gavin Newsom<\/a> and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, both Democrats, and said they failed to prevent the blaze.
