The tech giant has invested \u20ac12 million over the past eight years. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The showcase aspect of the programme, entering its fourth year, has become a national platform for students to highlight their engagement with the programme based on projects carried out in school.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The event was held over four days at One Microsoft Place in Leopardstown and had more than 1,000 students from around the Republic gather to present projects on how Stem, coding and AI could help solve real-world problems.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">More than 1,000 students attended the four-day event at Microsoft\u2019s Leopardstown offices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">More than 170 student-led projects were showcased, with a strong focus on sustainability, inclusion, and wellbeing. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Projects included a smart polytunnel to support sustainable food growing, an inclusive communication tool for non-verbal students, and a road safety system designed to improve safety on narrow rural roads. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">James O\u2019Connor, Microsoft Ireland site leader and corporate vice-president of Microsoft Global Operations Service Centre, said: \u201cAs AI continues to reshape how we live, work and learn, it\u2019s vital that every student has the skills and confidence to thrive in an AI-powered economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image audio_image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1780204884_673_1754647931518-c07d65db-55b5-463e-ae51-976300c5837e.jpeg\"\/>Will new pay transparency rules close the gender pay gap for good?<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cThrough a structured, year\u2011long Stem-learning journey, the Dream Space programme equips young people with the capabilities they need to navigate and shape our rapidly evolving digital world,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Students came from 45 schools and youth clubs across 11 different counties, including St Mary\u2019s National School in Edgeworthstown, Longford.
