But despite this, swimmers have been either removing or climbing over fencing to access the beauty spot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">This, <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dublinlive.ie\/all-about\/Dun-Laoghaire-Rathdown-County-Council \" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">DLR<\/a> say, poses a &#8220;serious safety risk&#8221; &#8211; and they are urging swimmers to stay away until the works are complete. They said: &#8220;D\u00fan Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is reminding the public that Hawks Cliff (Vico Baths) remains closed until the end of June 2026. The site is currently an active construction area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;For safety reasons, members of the public are asked not to remove or climb over the fencing and barriers in place. Despite this, people continue to access the site to swim. This poses a serious safety risk and may delay completion of the project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;We ask all visitors to respect the fencing, barriers and safety signage in place. These improvements will enhance the existing facilities and help protect the area for future use.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">DLR offered a number of alternative nearby swimming locations, including Killiney beach, Sandycove, and Seapoint.
