Mutra, a Middle Eastern restaurant led by chef-owner Raz Shabtai, has become the first kosher establishment anywhere to earn a coveted Michelin star, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/news\/local\/2026\/05\/31\/north-miami-kosher-restaurant-becomes-first-ever-to-win-michelin-star\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WPLG Miami<\/a>. &#8220;I feel extremely honored and blessed that God gave me the ability to do something that I can combine cultures together,&#8221; Shabtai tells the outlet. &#8220;It doesn&#8217;t matter your political views or your religion or something. Food is holy.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p class=\"storyParagraph\">&#13;<br \/>\n                                        He says Mutra, which changes its menu every three months, has a &#8220;farm-to-table &#8220;ethos,&#8221; per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/news\/local\/north-miami-restaurant-mutra-is-first-kosher-eatery-to-earn-michelin-star\/3814763\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NBC Miami<\/a>. A post at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ynetnews.com\/food\/article\/hkqvvtlxmg#google_vignette\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ynet News<\/a> calls the restaurant &#8220;an intimate space where the chef cooks from memories of Jerusalem.&#8221; Shabtai named the restaurant for his Israeli grandmother, who taught him to cook and whom he credits with shaping both his food and his character.&#13;\n                                    <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"&#13; Kosher dining just hit a milestone in North Miami.
