That\u2019s probably why nobody could put his name down definitively as the best player. <\/p>\n<p>One TalkingPoints user, <strong>Gegillies31<\/strong>, noted that Scales was his \u2018favourite\u2019 player, as well as Celtic\u2019s most \u2018consistent\u2019, with the Irishman also getting his flowers from the likes of <strong><strong>Dhxw448m5f<\/strong><\/strong> and <strong>StephenHardie1970<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As for Schmeichel, he isn\u2019t in many fans\u2019 good books, as the likes of <strong>McGregor795<\/strong> and <strong>Scorc3529<\/strong> were quick to put his name forward as the worst player during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/news\/andy-walker-slams-what-rangers-dismiss-as-celtic-have-it-in-abundance-after-double-triumph\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Celtic\u2019s double-winning campaign<\/a>. <\/p>\n<ul class=\"inline-links multi\">\n<li><strong>DantOwen81951<\/strong>: \u2018Thing Yang deserves a mention here! Not the absolute best but the most improved.\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>Martin.Crawford: <\/strong>\u2018Would absolutely agree that he\u2019s the most improved\u2026 I\u2019ll be honest, I\u2019d lost patience with him last season, but he excelled under O\u2019Neill.\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong><strong>Dhxw448m5f<\/strong><\/strong>: \u2018I don\u2019t think we should be so negative that we pinpoint who was our worst player in 2025\/26. Scales &amp; Maeda would be my shouts for best player\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pauldshapero<\/strong>: \u2018It\u2019s gotta be Nygren for both. Terrific on the ball, knows where the net is, but does zero off it. Still, he makes the difference!\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>McGregor795<\/strong>: \u2018Diazen best\/\/\/worst Schmeichel.\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jas1160:<\/strong> \u2018Had Maeda arrived at Wolfsberg last summer, they may have stayed up. Obviously, I\u2019m glad he stayed in Glasgow. Goodbye and good luck to our man from Osaka.\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>Martin.Crawford<\/strong>: \u2018Best: Nygren. Worst\u2026Mvuka.\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gegillies31: <\/strong>\u2018Liam Scales has been my favourite player this season, he has been the most consistent in what I would describe as the weakest Celtic I\u2019ve seen in my many years.\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scorc3529<\/strong>: \u2018Not sure about the best, but the worst was Schmeichel. By a long way.\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>StephenHardie1970<\/strong>: \u2018I think Scales has been solid all season. But there is something missing at Celtic. A playmaker. We need Jota back, and that\u2019s not going to happen soon.
