Last night, at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards<\/a>, Jessica Simpson<\/a>\u00a0arrived to the red carpet with a dramatic new look, as she appeared looking younger and fresher than ever before – and a plastic surgeon is weighing in on her apparently changing face.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Simpson, 45, stunned in a black, figure-hugging tulle dress designed by\u00a0Christian Siriano, which featured revealing crisscross detailing throughout the top and skirt, showing off her skin.<\/p>\n

The Dukes of Hazzard<\/a> star had her long blonde locks styled in a high ponytail, showing off her sculpted face in what was her first appearance at the VMAs since 2006.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Many fans were completely shocked by her youthful visage, with tons of people flocking to social media to share their thoughts over what looked like a drastic makeover.<\/p>\n

‘I don’t know who this woman is, but this is not Jessica Simpson,’ one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Another agreed, ‘I wouldn’t have recognized her if you didn’t tell me who this is.’<\/p>\n

‘I honestly didn’t recognize her but I feel like if she had blonder hair, not in a ponytail and different make up, she would be more recognizable,’ someone else typed.<\/p>\n

Now, her unrecognizable look is being broken down by a plastic surgeon, as they spoke exclusively to Daily Mail exactly what they believe Simpson has had done after looking at footage.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Jessica Simpson looked phenomenal at the VMAs,’ Dr. David Pincus of New York’s Pincus Plastic Surgery<\/a> told Daily Mail.<\/p>\n

‘While we can’t say for certain since we did not perform any procedures on her, her appearance suggests a tightened, refreshed look,’ Dr. Pincus continued.<\/p>\n

‘Her lips appear freshly filled within the last week or two, giving a very full look that many women love.’<\/p>\n

The plastic surgeon also noted that Simpson’s skin looked ‘amazing’ on the red carpet, which could be due to laser treatments or other ‘medical-grade skincare.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Typically, these medical-grade skincare products contain higher concentrations of active ingredients than you might typically find in a product that’s sold over-the-counter, according to The University of Kansas Health System<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

These kind of products include\u00a0Biologique Recherche’s famous Lotion P50, which contains tons of exfoliating acids and is meant to totally transform your skin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dr. Pincus also noted that Simpson might have had Botox injected before the VMAs.<\/p>\n

‘Jessica has openly shared in the past that she’s tried lip filler, non-surgical\u00a0facelifts<\/a>, and a tummy tuck with complications,’ he shared.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘At this event, it also looks like she may have had Botox<\/a>\u00a0or other neuromodulators in the forehead or brow area to create lift and smoothness,’ Dr. Pincus said.<\/p>\n

Botox, or botulinum toxin, is a type of cosmetic injection that relaxes the muscles by blocking nerve signals, per Cleveland Clinic<\/a>, making them hard to move.<\/p>\n

The injections are commonly used in order to reduce signs of aging and wrinkles.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I don’t see signs of major facial surgery, but rather a combination of\u00a0fillers<\/a>, Botox, and skin treatments,’ Dr. Pincus explained.<\/p>\n

‘These are enhancements available to everyday people at a fraction of the cost of surgery, and they can create a balanced, tight look that highlights natural features,’ he continued.<\/p>\n

‘Jessica looked confident and radiant, and we hope she loves her look\u2026 because she truly looks great.’<\/p>\n
