There are big things ahead for Maria Connor<\/a> in Coronation Street<\/a>, actress Samia Longchambon<\/a> has confirmed.<\/p>\n

Maria is involved in the whodunnit storyline surrounding Theo Silverton<\/a>\u2019s murder, thanks to husband Gary Windass<\/a> (Mikey North<\/a>) and his suspicious activities.<\/p>\n

Gary is a major suspect<\/a> in the investigation, with Kit Green<\/a> (Jacob Roberts<\/a>) convinced he\u2019s hiding something, and Maria risked everything when she gave him a false alibi.<\/p>\n

So far, it looks like Maria genuinely believes that Gary is innocent \u2013 but how would she react if she were proved wrong?<\/p>\n

\u2018I honestly don\u2019t know, because she does love him and because he\u2019s such a good stepdad to Liam,\u2019 Samia told Inside Soap<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018I feel like it\u2019s one of those storylines that will go down in the history books in\u00a0Corrie. There\u2019s going to be twists and turns that will not be expected\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n

It isn\u2019t just Theo\u2019s murder that fans think Gary is keeping secrets about, with countless viewers speculating that he may be having an affair<\/a> with Sarah Platt<\/a> (Tina O\u2019Brien).<\/p>\n
