{"id":51706,"date":"2025-09-08T23:03:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T23:03:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/51706\/"},"modified":"2025-09-08T23:03:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T23:03:11","slug":"fremantle-boss-says-ai-breaks-barriers-for-global-talent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/51706\/","title":{"rendered":"Fremantle Boss Says AI Breaks Barriers for Global Talent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAI will open doors for a new generation of talent, while creatives will need to think carefully about how their work is protected, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/freemantle\/\" id=\"auto-tag_freemantle\" data-tag=\"freemantle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fremantle<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/andrea-scrosati\/\" id=\"auto-tag_andrea-scrosati\" data-tag=\"andrea-scrosati\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Andrea Scrosati<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tTV giant Fremantle, which has expanded into film in recent years, had its Group COO and CEO of Continental Europe, Scrosati, speaking at the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/toronto-film-festival\/\" id=\"auto-tag_toronto-film-festival\" data-tag=\"toronto-film-festival\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Toronto Film Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tNoting that Fremantle is owned by Bertelsmann, a huge European conglom with publishing, TV and media interests, he said: \u201cAs a company, we have done specific deals with OpenAI, with Google, with Microsoft, where anything we put in using these tools stays behind a firewall and does not feed the algorithm. That means if [Paolo] Sorrentino wants to [work on] a section that he filmed and make a correction, that content would be fully protected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHe added: \u201cThe creative community, today and in the next years, will need to make a very clear distinction between the companies that take this approach and the companies that don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tScrosati shared his take on artificial intelligence on the day the producer-distributor announced it had hired former Spotify exec Kevin Lingley as its new EVP of AI. He will report to Matthew Wilson, Fremantle\u2019s Chief Legal Officer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tScrosati proceeded to issue an upbeat take on how AI will impact the film and TV business. \u201cIt is a support to talent and creatives to manage to do things that today would be A) impossible or B) extremely expensive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn April, Fremantle launched AI production label Imaginae Studios, and Scrosati said that the availability of AI tools will also level the playing field for new and would-be creatives. \u201cThese tools will permit a new generation of talent to emerge, because they are taking away the barriers to entry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cWe now have talent from Chile, from Pakistan, from Indonesia, from Switzerland that will have a great idea, and that could not physically produce it because he or she didn\u2019t have the money, or they didn\u2019t have the connections. Now they will be able to do it, and that will open the world to this talent.
