But not content to wait for a full month to pass, today we\u2019re already getting a crack at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/android_canary\/comments\/1tvvo5w\/android_canary_2606_is_now_available\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Android Canary 2606<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don\u2019t want to miss the best from Android Authority?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/andauth.co\/AAGooglePreferredSource\" class=\"e_Rm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\"><img class=\"e_Ph\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"google preferred source badge light@2x\"  alt=\"google preferred source badge light@2x\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1780501155_930_google_preferred_source_badge_light@2x.png\"\/><img class=\"e_Ph\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"google preferred source badge dark@2x\"  alt=\"google preferred source badge dark@2x\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1780501156_474_google_preferred_source_badge_dark@2x.png\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MishaalRahman\/status\/2062221023186223331\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Mishaal Rahman<\/a> has taken to X to fill us in on what to expect, and first on that list are some new theming options:<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"e_Ph\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"canary 2606 1b\"  alt=\"canary 2606 1b\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/canary-2606-1b.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A new slider lets you easily set the dominant color for your theme, and a set of four style buttons supports quickly toggling between different looks:<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"e_Ph\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"canary 2606 1\"  alt=\"canary 2606 1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/canary-2606-1.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>If you don\u2019t always like using the same keyboard on your device, this Canary release introduces a new Quick Settings tile that offers a handy shortcut for changing keyboards:<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"e_Ph\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"canary 2606 4\"  alt=\"canary 2606 4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/canary-2606-4.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s also a very subtle tweak hitting your lock screen UI, with proper background blur effects being applied to the fingerprint scanner and screen-bottom buttons:<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"e_Ph\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"canary 2606 3\"  alt=\"canary 2606 3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/canary-2606-3.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>In addition to those features Mishaal points out, we\u2019ve also already spotted one ourselves:<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"e_Ph\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"canary 2606 keyboard vibration watermarked\"  alt=\"canary 2606 keyboard vibration watermarked\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/canary-2606-keyboard-vibration-watermarked.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>AssembleDebug \/ Android Authority<\/p>\n<p>We used to only have an on\/off toggle for keyboard vibration, but in this Canary build we finally see a fully adjustable slider for vibration intensity.<\/p>\n<p>Like other Canary releases, today\u2019s build is available for Pixel 6 and later hardware. To get started, just install the appropriate Canary image for your device with <a href=\"https:\/\/flash.android.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Google\u2019s Android flash tool<\/a> \u2014 just make sure you\u2019ve got everything backed up first, as that means losing all your data.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll keep looking for other changes and let you know if we find anything else interesting!<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for being part of our community.
