Post Malone <\/strong>is set to embark on the BIG ASS Stadium Tour Part 2<\/strong> with Jelly Roll<\/strong> in less than seven days. He has yet to release<\/strong> his new album<\/strong> as ticket sales continue to flounder.<\/p>\n

If his reason for canceling multiple shows in early May is any indication, the music is on the way.<\/p>\n

However, the country music<\/a> crossover artist might be too late. His tour is on life support and I don\u2019t know if there is enough time to save it.<\/p>\n

Post Malone promised new music.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t get it twisted. I am a big fan of Austin Richard Post. I think he is an awesome dude and I enjoy his music greatly. My friends and I had a great time at his BIG ASS Stadium Tour Part 1 back in October of 2024\u2014 even though my nose was bleeding.<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t make me any less confused about this latest rollout.<\/p>\n

Post Malone officially announced the BIG ASS Stadium Tour Part 2 on February 2, 2026. Jelly Roll will provide direct support. Carter Faith will serve as the opener. The bill leads me to believe that it will be largely based on his country music era.<\/p>\n

However, it became abundantly clear at the end of April that a majority of the stops on the tour were going to be empty<\/a>. He (read: his team) made a big push to sell tickets<\/a> at places like Ole Miss and LSU to no avail. Interest was minimal.<\/p>\n

The horrendous ticket sales forced Posty to cancel multiple shows<\/a> in El Paso, Waco, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Tampa and Oxford. The start date for the tour was pushed from May 13 to June 9. He said that he wanted to release new music first.<\/p>\n

\u201cTruth is, I promised y\u2019all beautiful people new music, and I don\u2019t have the time to finish it before tour starts. We ain\u2019t ready for tour just yet, so I\u2019m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, we are less than seven days out from the new start date and the new music is not out. What gives?<\/p>\n

To be completely honest, I expected Post Malone to drop his new album before the Memorial Day weekend. It would\u2019ve been a perfect soundtrack to the unofficial start of summer and it would\u2019ve given his fans at least two weeks to get excited about the new tunes. Maybe they would\u2019ve been inspired to buy tickets. \u201cWow I really like this, I\u2019d love to hear it live.\u201d<\/p>\n

That did not happen. If he stays true to his word, the new music will be released prior to June 9. We\u2019ll see.<\/p>\n

Ticket sales are (still) a disaster.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know whether this tour is salvageable, regardless of whether we get a new album in the next week or not. It\u2019s looking grim.<\/p>\n

This is the current availability for Charlotte, the first night of the tour:<\/p>\n

Cleveland is a little bit better but people aren\u2019t willing to pay up for the lower bowl or the floor.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay is not selling at all.<\/p>\n

Ames isn\u2019t great either.<\/p>\n

Only the smallest stadiums are anywhere close to sold out, like Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Montana. Most everywhere else is in serious trouble. I don\u2019t know if there is enough time to fill the seats.
