American singer and actor Nick Jonas is returning to the world of Camp Rock after 16 years, and he couldn’t be more excited about it. The musician recently opened up about Camp Rock 3, revealing that he will reprise his role as Nate Gray and praising the film’s new cast. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Nick spoke about revisiting the beloved Disney franchise and shared a few details about the upcoming film.<\/p>\n

Introducing the topic, Jimmy Fallon said, \u201cCamp Rock 3 is coming to Disney+ in August. You\u2019re coming back as Nate Gray, a character you have not played in 16 years.”<\/p>\n

Reacting to his return, Nick Jonas<\/a> joked about one long-standing question from the franchise. \u201cYeah. The big debate is we don\u2019t know if we\u2019re brothers in the Camp Rock universe. We\u2019re not sure, and they haven\u2019t made it clear. Yeah, you\u2019re right. So I don\u2019t know,” he said.<\/p>\n

While fans can expect to see familiar faces, Nick revealed that the new film will largely focus on a fresh generation of campers. \u201cBut I\u2019ll tell you this\u2026 Camp Rock 3, to basically reintroduce this franchise to a whole new audience, there\u2019s a new group of campers. They\u2019re all absolute superstars. They\u2019re going to be in arenas themselves very soon.” The singer said he was deeply impressed by the young cast and believes audiences will connect with them instantly.<\/p>\n

Nick also confirmed that he and his brothers, Joe and Kevin Jonas, will make a special appearance in the film. He added, \u201cMe and the brothers have a little cameo in it, which was so bizarre to be back at Camp Rock all these years later\u2026. But it\u2019s amazing. These kids, they just blew me away, and I think people are going to love Camp Rock 3.”<\/p>\n

A clip from the interview was later shared on The Tonight Show’s Instagram page with the caption: \u201c@nickjonas says it was \u201cbizarre” to be back at camp with @kevinjonas & @joejonas after 16 years for @camprockmovie 3 #FallonTonight.”<\/p>\n

A look back at the Camp Rock franchise<\/b><\/p>\n

The original Camp Rock premiered in 2008 and quickly became a fan favourite. Directed by Matthew Diamond, the film starred Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas, Meaghan Jette Martin, Maria Canals-Barrera, Daniel Fathers and Alyson Stoner. The story followed aspiring singer Mitchie Torres as she attended a summer music camp and pursued her dreams. The sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, was released in 2010 and saw Camp Rock competing against a wealthy rival music camp called Camp Star.<\/p>\n
