Kevin Hart admitted that Dwayne \u201cThe Rock\u201d Johnson\u2019s joke at the Roast of Kevin Hart caught him \u201coff guard.\u201d<\/p>\n
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, the actor said he was a little taken aback by the professional wrestler\u2019s joke about Hart\u2019s late dad, Henry Robert Witherspoon, reports Page Six<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think the one that caught me off guard, Dwayne,\u201d Hart, 46, told host Jimmy Kimmel, 58, when asked if any of the jokes on the Netflix special \u201churt.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDwayne had the picture of my father and he had a mug shot of my dad and he goes, \u2018Look at my dad. Kev, we both love our dads,\u2019\u201d the Ride Along star recalled.<\/p>\n Hart said Johnson, 54, showed a picture of his dad, late wrestler Rocky Johnson, \u201cin shape, you know, coming from the gym.\u201d<\/p>\n However, when the Moana actor showed a photo of Witherspoon, Hart said it \u201cwas the worst picture of my father I\u2019ve ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe worst picture of my father. It caught me off guard, but it was funny,\u201d he explained of the image, which was of a shirtless Witherspoon sitting down.<\/p>\n \u201cAnything done with the effort of giving a laugh, I\u2019m always going to give it the benefit of the doubt. All the stuff said about me, you know, I\u2019m like, look, it is what it is.
