As he does, Geoff Keighley came to the annual showcase with big reveals for future games. And as we’ve done before, we’ve assembled a list of our personal favorites and ones that have us intrigued for what they might have to offer. Read ours, then let us know your faves in the comments below.

Resident Evil: Veronica

Kicking off Summer Game Fest was none other than Resident Evil: Veronica. A remake of the 2000 Dreamcast game, this new version will take players through a reimagined version of the original that plays similar to its more recent entries. What new changes await Claire Redfield during her solo journey through Paris and eventually Rockfort Island? We’ll find out when this remake hits PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S in 2027.

Alien: Isolation 2

It wasn’t that long that Creative Assembly offered up a first look at Alien: Isolation 2. But the studio had something more substantial here, revealing a first look at an isolated colony on an equally isolated planet that’s about to have itself a pretty bad Xenomorph problem. No solid date on this yet, but when it does arrive, it’ll be on consoles and PC.

Gen Atlas

From game director Fumito Ueda, best known for Ico and The Guardian, comes Gen Atlas. Formerly known as Project Robot, the third-person title puts players in the shoes of an unnamed robot in a post-apocalyptic setting. What do they pilot? A pretty damn big mech, which gradually reveals itself throughout the trailer. It’s not in the best of shape, so players will have to take care of it while traversing through the world, fighting aliens, and a mech of equally big stature. The scale of it all looks pretty incredible, and we can’t wait for it to hit whatever systems it does in the years to come.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin

Remember when we were supposed to get a game based on the Last Ronin comic? That’s now changed hands from Black Forest Games to Bayonettta developer PlatinumGames as the first big title from Paramount Games. It’s coming to PC and consoles, and hopefully it actually sees the day, unlike the movie we were supposed to get.

Gundam: Rogue Orbit

It’s been a while since the last major Gundam game, but we’ve got a new one on the way. Bandai Namco’s latest title is Gundam: Rogue Orbit, a single-player action-RPG set in its own universe. As the pilot of the Helix Gundam, players will team up with a crew and take on aliens using the franchise’s trademark mechs and weapons to get the job done. Look for it in 2027 on PC and consoles.

Guild Wars 3

For MMO fans, Guild Wars and its sequel are regarded pretty well. Now it’s time for the franchise to jump to its third installment, but with some changes. Instead of being a PC-only affair, it’s making its way to consoles via the PlayStation 5. If you’ve been wanting to see what the fuss is about, there’s a beta coming in fall 2027 for you to sink your teeth into. Until then, there’s always the first two entries.

Star Wars

The Star Wars franchise came to Summer Game Fest with not one, but two games. First up was Galactic Racer, a racing title from Fuse Games set in the Outer Rim that lets 12 players race against each other in podracers, landspeeders, and the skimspeeder, a brand new vehicle class made for the game. In the story mode, players take on the role of a racer named Shade, who joins the Outer Rim’s Galactic League and crosses paths with other racers, including fan-favorite Sebulba.

And then there’s Zero Company, a strategy game that’s basically Star Wars’ answer to XCOM. Set during the Clone Wars, players lead a ragtag squad across the galaxy to deal with an emerging threat. As Hawks, players will guide their team through turn-based combat and make sure everyone plays nice. No one can leave Zero Company, but if someone dies, they can be gone for good. No pressure to do your best to resolve conflicts and keep team members in check.

Star Wars: Zero Company comes out first for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 27, followed by Galactic Racer for those systems on October 6.

1666 Amsterdam

Known mainly as the big brain behind the Assassin’s Creed franchise, game designer Patrice Désilets left Ubisoft in 2010 to found Panache Digital Games. The studio’s sophomore title, 1666 Amsterdam, is an action-adventure game staring Noa, a Collector tasked with killing beings known as the Originals disguised as Amsterdam’s citizens. Noa’s got an arsenal of supernatrual weapons and abilities to help her out, and you can test for yourself with a 30-minute demo on Steam before 1666 Amsterdam comes to Early Access later in 2026.

Saw: Genesis

Keighley loves his puppets, but Ms. Piggy didn’t show up this Summer Game Fest. Instead, the Billy puppet rode onstage to let everyone know another Saw game is coming. It’s a prequel, of all things, set in the aftermath of WWI and lets players inhabit the role of the Judge—Jigsaw’s predecessor, basically—or three Accused who have to escape the Judge’s traps, either together or alone. This is the actual premise of this multiplayer Saw game…and if it sounds too dumb to be true, you can sign up for its closed alpha on Steam and see for yourself.

Blood of Dawnwalker

Rebel Wolves’ dark fantasy-RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker is months away, and it showed up with a new trailer. While we’ve known protagonist Coen was due for a showdown with Brencis, the vampire who turned him, the trailer’s most intriguing part was seeing that beef run from the 14th century to the present day. Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz called the trailer’s gameplay section an “origin story” for Coen, so the studio’s clearly thinking long-term. Blood of Dawnwalker hits PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 3 as the first of many games dropping.

The Wolf Among Us 2

It’s been a long time coming—many would say too long—but The Wolf Among Us 2 is finally coming out in 2027 for PC and consoles (including the Switch 1 and 2!). Before players get wrapped up in a new episodic case, Telltale’s got a remaster of the original game hitting this holiday for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Street Fighter 6

Like previous Summer Game Fests before it, Capcom revealed the next set of fighters to join Street Fighter 6. For its fourth year, the fighter is building out its cast with newcomers Yasmine and Arjun, plus Bosch, the player character’s rival and friend in the World Tour mode. But the biggest get is none other than Final Fantasy VII Remake’s Tifa, who Capcom said will be made to mechanically fit the universe while bringing over the Materia system from her own franchise. She’ll join the roster in early 2027, preceded by Yasmine and Arjun this summer and fall, with Bosch wrapping things up next spring.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Every Summer Game Fest has a “One More Thing” at Summer Game Fest, and 2026’s was Final Fantasy VII Revelation. The final installment in the remake trilogy is looking to go big with more playable characters, a fashion system, and bigger threats for Cloud and the gang to fight to save their world. And unlike the last two games, everyone will get to play it on whatever system they own. PlayStation 5, Switch 2, PC, Xbox Series X}S—Revelation is coming to them all on day one in spring 2027.

Want more io9 news?
