Priscilla Presley,<\/strong> 80, shared a heartfelt tribute to her late former husband Elvis Presley<\/strong> on the 48th anniversary of his death<\/a>. Elvis\u2019 first wife, who met the “Jailhouse Rock” singer<\/a> when she was just 14 years old, is often associated with the music industry icon despite the couple\u2019s split. Married from 1967 to 1973, the couple had one daughter \u2013 singer Lisa Marie Presley <\/strong>\u2013 who passed away<\/a> in 2023.<\/p>\n

In her sweet post, Priscilla Presley shared a personal photo of herself and Elvis gazing longingly at one another, while revealing the sweet nickname Elvis had for her.<\/p>\n

“After all these years, I still smile when I think of the little moments we shared. The world remembers your fame, but I remember your love & kindness at home. Even after we had our problems we still maintained an undeniable connection\u2019 – Satnin \u2764\ufe0f”<\/p>\n

The name Satnin was a pet name Elvis originally had for his mother, Gladys<\/strong>, believed to be a term of endearment. Following Gladys\u2019 death in 1958, Elvis is said to have passed the nickname on to Priscilla.<\/p>\n

“This is the power of true love, what the memory loves remains eternal,” one fan commented on Priscilla Presley\u2019s tribute, while another added, “A beautiful love story.”<\/p>\n

Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42. Since his death, fans have attended an annual candlelight vigil at Graceland, Elvis\u2019 former home, where the singer is buried. In lieu of attending this year, Priscilla shared her sentiments via social media.<\/p>\n
