The audience was reportedly \u201cworn out\u201d during the final episodes. Furthermore, he didn\u2019t let his exit sink in as he surprised his fans with his appearance on \u201cOnly in Monroe.\u201d It was aired on a Michigan public access TV, Monroe Community Media.<\/p>\n

Stephen Colbert\u2019s farewell was seemingly stretched after the cancellation of his talk show, \u201cThe Late Show.\u201d Within a day of the airing of the final episode, the comedian returned to the entertainment and news business. He hosted Michigan public access TV\u2019s \u201cOnly In Monroe<\/a>\u201d and interviewed Jack White and Jeff Daniels.<\/p>\n

A source told the National Enquirer<\/a> that Colbert has allegedly been trying to \u201creinvent\u201d himself. \u201cBut he needs to recognize that the endless tributes he staged for himself during his prolonged farewell run of episodes wore people out,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n

In the final episode of \u201cThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert,\u201d many celebrity guests made appearances to wish the host farewell. Some of the A-listers included Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Reynolds, Bryan Cranston, Jon Stewart, Steven Spielberg, Paul Rudd, Tim Meadows, Tig Notaro, and Paul McCartney.<\/p>\n

He recalled his time on the iconic set and took a walk down memory lane. However, the insider claimed that Colbert was \u201ctruly taken off guard\u201d when he learned about the show\u2019s cancellation. They advised that the 62-year-old should seemingly \u201cstep back\u201d and \u201ctake a breath.\u201d According to them, the producer should give more time to thinking about his future career plans. Moreover, Colbert should brainstorm \u201cseriously about what he wants the next ten years of his career to be like.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source hinted that people might not be interested in watching Colbert \u201cre-litigate his cancellation\u201d from the CBS show. \u201cIf he can\u2019t find his authentic voice again, nobody is going to care, and nobody is going to tune in,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n
