{"id":529457,"date":"2026-06-11T07:03:18","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T07:03:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/529457\/"},"modified":"2026-06-11T07:03:18","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T07:03:18","slug":"jury-in-north-kerry-murder-trial-discharged-because-of-legal-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/529457\/","title":{"rendered":"Jury in North Kerry murder trial discharged because of legal issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The trial of three people accused of murdering a North Kerry man two years ago, has been adjourned and the jury discharged.<\/p>\n<p>The jury at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courts.ie\/organisation-information\/the-central-criminal-court\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Central Criminal Court<\/a> sitting in Limerick has been discharged, for what they were told was legal reasons around disclosure.<\/p>\n<p>Father-of-one Gerard Kennelly, who was in his mid-30s, was found with fatal stab injuries at Knockanure outside Listowel, in the early hours of Monday, May 27th, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The trial of three people, all accused of murdering Gerard Kennelly, began <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/news\/jury-sworn-in-for-trial-of-three-people-accused-of-north-kerry-murder-486185\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">last week<\/a> at a Central Criminal Court sitting in Limerick.<\/p>\n<p>The three accused are Kieran Brady, who is in his mid-30s, from Upper Athea, Co.
