Before they solidified their ride-or-die status via dinner and a glass of wine on \u201cNo Body, No Crime,\u201d there was a universe where Taylor Swift<\/a> and Haim were mere strangers. Thankfully, those days are gone (heh) and sisters Alana, Este, and Danielle Haim are still going strong as elite members of Tay\u2019s squad. No, seriously\u2014they\u2019ve attended the \u201cCruel Summer\u201d singer\u2019s famous Fourth of July bash nearly every year since its inception in 2013.<\/p>\n

That being said! It\u2019s (Haim) time to deep dive into Taylor Swift and Haim\u2019s full friendship timeline, from their social media love fests to embarking on the Eras Tour together.<\/p>\n

March 2013<\/p>\n

It technically all started at the Woodie Awards when the Haim sisters were asked who Taylor should date after her breakup with Harry Styles. Alana lowkey predicted their future friendship, saying (per the Daily Mail<\/a>), \u201cT.T. Swift, don\u2019t date someone else. Come out with us, and we will party, and we will be together as girls and be merry, and we don\u2019t need guys. Girl power.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor announced the release of her 10th album, Evermore, which includes a Haim collab. The sisters teased their involvement on Twitter, writing:<\/p>\n

Thus, the iconic \u201cNo Body, No Crime\u201d was born. The real crime is that there\u2019s no music video for the track (@Taylor @Haim, call me up, I have some ideas).<\/p>\n

Taylor revealed the inspo behind the song during an interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, saying, \u201cWorking with the Haim sisters on \u2018No Body, No Crime\u2019 was pretty hilarious because it came about after I wrote a pretty dark murder mystery song and had named the character \u2018Este\u2019 because she\u2019s the friend I have who would be stoked to be in a song like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI had finished the song and was nailing down some lyric details and texted her, \u2018You\u2019re not going to understand this text for a few days but…which chain restaurant do you like best?\u2019 and I named a few.\u201d According to Taylor, \u201cShe chose Olive Garden and a few days later, I sent her the song and asked if they would sing on it. It was an immediate \u2018YES.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The Evermore track marked their first collaboration together, and Taylor was well aware of the shock that came along with that fact. \u201cWe can\u2019t figure out why we hadn\u2019t collaborated sooner. We\u2019ve toured together, played live together, choreographed dances like we\u2019re at summer camp, but it took a song about avenging your friend\u2019s murder to give us the idea to take this step,\u201d Taylor explained, jokingly adding, \u201cLong story short, I\u2019m the 4th Haim sister now, confirmed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Haim released a remix of their Women in Music, Pt. III track, \u201cGasoline\u201d featuring Taylor.<\/p>\n

Later, when asked why she had said joint birthday party with Taylor during an interview with The Tennesseean<\/a>, Alana said, \u201cWell, we\u2019re both Sagittariuses. Taylor is honestly one of the only Sagittariuses that I know. It\u2019s not a lie that Sagittariuses love to have a good time, and that\u2019s what we did. I haven\u2019t celebrated my birthday in a couple of years, obviously, because of the pandemic. So it was really fun to have everybody together, blow out some candles and have a dance party.\u201d<\/p>\n
