Nearly 20 years later, Amy Adams<\/a> is still blushing. <\/p>\n

When the six-time Oscar-nominated actor appeared on \u201cLate Night with Seth Meyers<\/a>\u201d on Wednesday, the host mentioned a story he had heard about her from his fellow \u201cSaturday Night Live<\/a>\u201d alum, Andy Samberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2008, just a year after Adams starred in the 2007 kid-friendly film \u201cEnchanted,\u201d she hosted the legendary sketch show. At the time, Samberg was blowing up online thanks to his musical digital shorts,<\/a> and he filmed one with Adams called \u201cHero Song<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The short starred a dejected Samberg, dressed in business attire, staring out the window of his office building and singing about how the city has too much \u201ccrime and evil\u201d and needs a hero. So, he puts on a Batman-esque costume and tries to stop a man from mugging Adams, only to get beaten up by the mugger.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was not his first idea for you,\u201d Meyers said to Adams about \u201cHero Song.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cNo,\u201d Adams said, with a nervous laugh.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd [Samberg] said he brought this song to you, and it was like, the filthiest song. I\u2019ve never heard it. Do you remember it?\u201d Meyers asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do, but I\u2019m not, I mean, it was,\u201d Adams said, starting to stammer a bit. \u201cIt was, I\u2019ll give you the gist without telling you the punchline.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams then explained the setup: A couple is in the park when the husband gets bitten by a spider. As the husband is dying, his wife (Adams) asks him if he has any last wishes.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd he\u2019s like, \u2018Yes, I never got a chance to…,\u2019\u201d Adams recalled while looking pretty uncomfortable. \u201cAnd then said, what could only be described as the most graphic thing that he wanted to do with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noticing Adams\u2019 discomfort, Meyers leaped in.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Samberg] applauds the fact that you spoke up for yourself because you basically were like, \u2018I can\u2019t do this,\u2019\u201d Meyers said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, no,\u201d Adams admitted. \u201cI was just so keenly aware of all the young girls that were watching \u2018Enchanted,\u2019 and I didn\u2019t want to like, be the princess singing about that particular act, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said that literally the next day he watched a 5-year-old come up to you and be like, \u2018You mean so much to me,\u2019\u201d Meyers recalled Samberg telling him. \u201cAnd he was like, \u2018Oh my God, I can\u2019t believe I almost made her do that!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Nearly 20 years later, Amy Adams is still blushing.
