Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> has revealed she made a change to her forthcoming album in the wake of her split from English actor Louis Partridge. <\/p>\n The 23-year-old musician, behind hits such as \u201cDriver\u2019s License\u201d and \u201cBrutal\u201d, is due to release You Look Pretty Sad for a Girl in Love on Friday 12 June. <\/p>\n Rodrigo, however, was inclined to make some late amendments to the songs on the record following her breakup from Enola Holmes star Partridge, about whom she wrote 2024\u2019s love song So American. <\/p>\n Speaking to the BBC<\/a>, the singer said she revisited the lyrics of her new song \u201cWhat\u2019s Wrong With Me\u201d \u2013 a collaboration with The Cure<\/a>\u2019s Robert Smith<\/a> \u2013 after the break-up. <\/p>\n The track was originally written about feeling depressed from missing someone so much. Rodrigo revisited the lyrics after her break-up, however, after realising that the relationship itself was the source of her upset. <\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t eat, I can\u2019t sleep \/ I think you\u2019re what\u2019s wrong with me,\u201d she sings on the track. <\/p>\n While the track is yet to be officially released, Rodrigo and Smith debuted \u201cWhat\u2019s Wrong With Me\u201d during her surprise set at Barcelona\u2019s Primavera Festival, where The Cure were headlining. <\/p>\n Rodrigo divulged that she had tweaked the lyrics to another song on the album, titled \u201cPurple\u201d. <\/p>\n \u201cInitially, it was a love song, and it was very sweet and saccharine,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd a few months after we wrote it, we revisited it and put new chords underneath it and tweaked some of the lyrics.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, yeah, it\u2019s definitely the part of the album where things start to sour and unravel.\u201d <\/p>\n You Look Pretty Sad for a Girl in Love is about \u201ca love story that falls apart\u201d, she told the BBC. \u201cA time capsule of a relationship in a few years of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n Rodrigo and Partridge, 23, began dating in October 2023 after they were spotted together in London at a Halloween party. They officially split in December last year. <\/p>\n Elsewhere in the interview, the three-time Grammy-winner spoke about her appearance at Glastonbury last summer when she duetted with Smith for the first time. <\/p>\n \u201cI remember having a near anxiety attack in the bathroom, like, \u2018How am I going to do this? I don’t know if I\u2019m ready,\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cBut something overcame me the second I stepped on stage and started singing.
