Architect Peter Marino, a longtime resident of the village, renovated the old Gothic Revival Rogers Memorial Library as a house museum to present seasonal, rotating exhibitions that draw from his vast collection of contemporary art, Renaissance bronzes, Belle Epoque ceramics, 18th-century furniture, and more. As Marino has proclaimed, “You know you’re not in for a regular show here.”

Courtesy of Robert Nava and Pace Gallery

Robert Nava’s And Suddenly They Evolved.

This year’s slate, which runs from May through late October, features a dual presentation that pairs paintings by Betty Parsons, the midcentury gallerist and under-appreciated artist in her own right, in dialogue with canvases by the postwar Italian abstractionist Carla Accardi. Also on view are works by Y.Z. Kami and Robert Nava, plus a display of pieces from Marino’s collection of Aesthetic movement Tiffany silver, the subject of his latest book with Phaidon. It all makes for a vivid portrait of Marino as a collector: voracious, deeply informed, and utterly unlike anyone else.

This story originally appeared in the Summer 2026 issue of Elle Decor. SUBSCRIBE

Julia Cancilla is the social media & news editor at ELLE Decor, where she oversees the brand’s socials and covers design, pop culture, and emerging trends.
