Each slide has a photo of one of those jobs, which included a radiator flush, interior detailing, new tires, a new battery, restored headlights, new door panels to match a black-and-grey interior, a new air intake hose, and a new headliner.

“That’s it so far, but I’m so pleased with how everything is coming together,” Jayda writes at the end of the slideshow.

According to KBB, the 2009 Honda Accord is known in the mid-sized sedan category for doing pretty much everything well. It’s not as sporty as other options, but it has a roomy, distinctive interior and capable handling. And at around $4,800 in private party value, it’s an attainable project car, particularly in rougher conditions.

‘This Is Insanely Smart’

In the video’s comments section, viewers reacted to Jayda’s work on the 2009 Honda Accord.

“This whole thing was satisfying, but the dirty interior to clean was 10/10,” wrote one person.

A second person asked, “Would you say you paid for all that a total of $1,000 for the car or less?”

Jayda replied, “I put together a little price list of everything I’ve paid so far. The car itself was $700. As for everything else …” Jayda paid about $1,400.

She listed off what she paid for parts and materials:

$400 for tires

$200 in maintenance products

$200 for the battery

$400 in detailing products

$5 for the headlight kit (on sale)

$60 door panels from the junk yard

$30 air intake hose

$100 in headliner materials

Someone else asked Jayda how she learned to do all these projects, and she said she watches YouTube videos. Another person in the comments said, “Real. I’m always telling people YouTube and Google are free.”

What Are Some Other Good Project Sedans?

A Reddit user posted to r/askcarguys a year ago asking for help choosing a project car. The person said they wanted a learning opportunity and something that wouldn’t be too expensive to maintain. They were considering an Accord, an Acura Integra, or a Honda Civic.

Several people in the comments section agreed that the Accord is a decent choice of project car. “A bit of a sleeper,” wrote one commenter. “Easy to work on with loads of parts support.”

Another person agreed. “Hondas are also a good choice because they throw problems at you at a slower pace, which you can probably afford to address,” they wrote.

Someone else wrote, “For any of these, I would advise to find the nicest, best-running example you can find. Having a running car to start with will help you get your feet wet with things such as basic maintenance, and then you can slowly work towards bigger and more complex upgrades as you get more comfortable.”

Motor1 contacted Jayda via TikTok comment and email for comment.

 We want your opinion!

What would you like to see on Motor1.com?

Take our 3 minute survey.

– The Motor1.com Team

A woman stuns the internet by showing how she transformed the 2009 Honda Accord she purchased on Facebook…

[74
86356,10471,848,18,22471,230886,19,17,5,22976,230887,204381,82,835,221256,121
post-537203","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-technology","tag-b2c","tag-budget","tag-diy","tag-eire","tag-honda","tag-honda-accord","tag-ie","tag-ireland","tag-news","tag-petrol","tag-project-car","tag-sedan","tag-technology","tag-trending","tag-young-drivers","tag-youtube
["GET
