All she wants to do is have some fun \u2014 but this isn\u2019t it.<\/p>\n

Sheryl Crow<\/a> did not hold back when she published an Instagram story<\/a> Monday about what she thought of the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House\u2019s South Lawn the day before \u2014 that just so happened to take place on President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s 80th birthday.<\/p>\n

And really, the Grammy winner only really needed five words to sum up what she thought: \u201cdisgraceful and void of decency.\u201d<\/p>\n

But she had much more to say. <\/p>\n

\u201cTo stay quiet means to turn a blind eye,\u201d the legendary \u201990s singer began. \u201cAnd so I am saying this.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cSoak Up the Sun\u201d singer described what she felt were the optics of the event \u2014 which sounds a whole lot like a scene out of \u201cGladiator.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cPowerful, rich people filled the lawn to watch a violent sport that ended with a vile and racist comment,\u201d Crow said, referring to UFC fighter Josh Hokit\u2019s now-viral remark<\/a> that former first lady Michelle Obama \u201cis a man<\/a>\u201d \u2014 which he shouted into Joe Rogan\u2019s mic after he won his bout.<\/p>\n

Crow went on to point out that all of this tomfoolery was going down \u201cwhile the average American cannot afford healthcare, gas, and cost of living,\u201d and called out how the event was merely a \u201cdistraction from reality.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDo not be fooled,\u201d Crow continued. \u201cThis administration is corrupt and does not give a damn about the American people. It only cares about making money hand over fist at the expense and in spite of our democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we continue to support this kind of distraction from reality, we are no better than them,\u201d Crow concluded. \u201cLet\u2019s be better, America.\u201d<\/p>\n

It seems that most Americans were about as thrilled as Crow about Trump\u2019s bloody birthday bouts.<\/p>\n

Last week, CNN data wizard Harry Enten<\/a> pointed to data<\/a> from Reuters\/Ipsos that found that only 16% of the 4,531 Americans surveyed thought the UFC fights at the White House were appropriate. <\/p>\n

Enten then cited a separate Fox News poll from March<\/a> showing that 60% of Americans believe the White House is \u201cout of touch with people like you.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cYou have a White House that is putting on events such as these UFC fights, and you know, Americans\u2019 top issue is inflation,\u201d Enten said. \u201cAnd you go to yourself, \u2018Oh, OK. Appropriate? No on the UFC fights,\u2019 and then you put it together with what they actually care about \u2014 no wonder that the American people, 60% say the White House is out of touch with people like them.\u201d<\/p>\n
