\n\tBowen Yang<\/a> and Matt Rogers<\/a>, co-hosts of Las Culturistas podcast, honored Will Ferrell<\/a> with the Titan of Culture award at Bravo\u2019s annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards, which Bravo and Peacock broadcasted Wednesday night. And while the awards they give out typically have ironic and sarcastic undertones, this one seemed genuine as Yang described the award as \u201ca title that is achieved by having a decades-long career that has never ever wavered,\u201d adding that Ferrell \u201cinvented the comedy that invented our personalities.\u201d But then they showed a slideshow created by the sixth graders of a middle school.<\/p>\n

\n\tFerrell\u2019s appreciation for the award was just as genuine. To people wondering how he became a \u201cTitan of Culture,\u201d he offered up this advice in his acceptance speech: \u201cBe proud of yourself.\u201d \u201cI think we should all celebrate our pride,\u201d he said. But then, it took a sharp turn: \u201cFor example, I have pride about being an actor and a filmmaker, but I also have pride about being a husband to a wife. I guess what I\u2019m saying is I\u2019m proud to be straight. God, it feels good to finally say that.\u201d (It\u2019s worth noting that underneath his navy blue suit, instead of a vest jacket, he was wearing black leather-daddy straps.)<\/p>\n

\n\tHis second tip to being a titan was to \u201cbe happy, be joyful, be \u2026 gay,\u201d which of course was more like it for a speech airing during LGBTQ Pride Month. \u201cHave gay pride,\u201d he said. \u201cStarting this month.\u201d He looked back at Yang and Rogers, who are gay, and they nodded at him. \u201cI hereby declare June, Pride Month,\u201d he said as he produced a Pride flag. \u201cAnd to celebrate, I made a flag that represents all the things I have gay pride about.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFor him, each color of the flag represented a title from his filmography and other accomplishments: Talladega Nights, SNL, \u201cthe real awards I won,\u201d \u201chow much money I made, which is a lot,\u201d Stranger Than Fiction, and A Night at the Roxbury. And then he showed his leathers, which he said was for safety. \u201cStrap up, gays,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\n\tRogers and Yang co-hosted the 2026 edition of Las Culturistas Culture Awards, which is now available to stream on Peacock, at an event in Los Angeles on May 30 (but Ferrell obviously knew when it would air).
