\n\tTom Holland<\/a> hilariously revealed in a new Esquire interview<\/a> that \u201cit definitely does\u201d get musty in his Spider-Man suit during production, so \u201cI probably get a new suit every two weeks, I reckon.\u201d The 29-year-old actor is currently in production on \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a>,\u201d his fourth standalone movie as the iconic web-slinger and his seventh overall Marvel movie. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have such a good understanding of who Peter Parker is, and I have been so lucky that the fan base has been so vocal about what they love from the franchise,\u201d Holland told the publication. \u201cWe\u2019ve been able to really lean into those things and capitalize on those things. So, I love standing up for the character, being in the room, and making sure that the decisions we make are what\u2019s best for Peter Parker because he really does feel like one of my best friends. It\u2019s a really weird experience diving into the character again. It just feels like you\u2019re hanging out with an old pal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHolland told LADbible<\/a> earlier this month that he is quite active on the internet when it comes to investigating what Spider-Man fans want to see out of him on the big screen. Holland takes fan wishes to producers of his \u201cSpider-Man\u201d movies during pitch meetings to ensure his comic book movies appeal directly to fans. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFor me, I want to do justice to Peter Parker\u2019s character. I want to bring the fans something that\u2019s really worthy of their time, and I\u2019m very grateful for their investment in our franchise,\u201d Holland told Esquire<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t mean financially, I mean the time to go to the cinema three times. That\u2019s a big ask.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI really just kind of put together a vibe of what people were looking for and went to Marvel and said, \u2018This is what I think we should be doing,’\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd I think that\u2019s exactly what we\u00a0are\u00a0doing. So, it\u2019s been a really fun process developing the movie. It\u2019s the first time I\u2019ve ever been allowed in that part of the process, and it\u2019s definitely a stressful experience. But I think where we\u2019ve got to, now that we\u2019re shooting, we are shooting absolute gold.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d is being directed by \u201cShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings\u201d helmer Destin Daniel Cretton. Holland is being joined by Marvel vets Jon Bernthal as Punisher and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk (although the actor recently said<\/a> he\u2019s still waiting on a script), plus returning franchise players Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. New cast members include Sadie Sink, Liza Col\u00f3n-Zayas and Tramell Tillman.<\/p>\n
