Baby powder can help keep ants away from your home without the need for specialist products.<\/p>\n<p>Glen Peskett, a DIY expert from <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/tracking.us.nylas.com\/l\/8b918375d40c4440a33f10f577c3ba4a\/0\/d7b9921fb6c9cbd48f1189b484c2667dfa2b0010b20bb918254e83a1142809c1?cache_buster=1781608874\" target=\"_blank\">Saxton Blades Multi Tools,<\/a> said: \u201cAnts follow scent trails, so when one finds food, it leaves a kind of path for the rest of the colony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe idea with baby powder is that it can mess with those trails and make it harder for them to keep finding their way back. It is not going to wipe them out or deal with a big infestation, but some people find it helps cut down what they are seeing in certain spots.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said it\u2019s \u201cone of those old-school hacks that keeps doing the rounds every summer\u201d &#8211; but it can help.<\/p>\n<p>All you need to do is lightly sprinkle baby powder at suspected ant-entry points like window frames, skirting boards and doorsteps.<\/p>\n<p>This creates a physical and aromatic barrier that confuses the ants.<\/p>\n<p>The best way to keep your home ant-free is to keep your home as clean as possible.
