{"id":548682,"date":"2026-06-22T18:30:15","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T18:30:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/548682\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T18:30:15","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T18:30:15","slug":"china-launches-plan-to-revive-foreign-investment-as-fdi-continues-to-fall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/548682\/","title":{"rendered":"China launches plan to revive foreign investment as FDI continues to fall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">China is doubling down on efforts to attract and retain foreign investment with a new, comprehensive action plan aimed at stabilising the scale of inbound capital amid a sustained decline in inflows and mounting global uncertainty.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Issued on Monday by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Finance and the top economic planner, the National Development and Reform Commission, the plan outlined 15 measures to expand market access across services, finance, healthcare and other sectors while improving the quality and structure of foreign investment.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The central government would open the door wider to foreign firms seeking opportunities in these sectors, the ministries stated, including allowing overseas participation in vocational training institutions and top-tier universities specialising in science, engineering, agriculture and medicine.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Investors from Hong Kong and Macau would be granted earlier and broader access to mainland China\u2019s services market, they said.<\/p>\n<p>Beijing has repeatedly pledged to expand market access for foreign investors, with President Xi Jinping and other top officials urging \u201chigh-level opening up\u201d in speeches and articles.
