Santana enjoyed a wildly successful run under Davis, releasing two Number One albums (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/best-albums-of-all-time-1062063\/santana-abraxas-2-1062899\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Abraxas<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/santana-iii-91994\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Santana III<\/a>), and hit singles like \u201cEvil Ways,\u201d \u201cBlack Magic Woman,\u201d and \u201cOye C\u00f3mo Va.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAnd while Santana remained on Columbia long after Davis was forced out in 1973, they reunited in the late-Nineties when Davis brought Santana to Arista Records. The label released the band\u2019s blockbuster 1999 album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/supernatural-105360\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Supernatural<\/a>, which earned Diamond certification from the RIAA and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/carlos-santana-grammys-2000-supernatural-smooth-interview-953333\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">won nine Grammys<\/a>, including Album of the Year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cClive understood that music is more than entertainment,\u201d Santana wrote in his tribute. \u201cMusic is a healing force. It brings people together beyond fear, beyond separation, beyond borders. We send our deepest love and blessings to his family and to all who were touched by his life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAlong with Santana, tributes to Davis have poured in from the countless artists who worked with him, including Rod Stewart, Barry Manilow, Alicia Keys, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/bruce-springsteen-remembers-clive-davis-1235581620\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bruce Springsteen<\/a>. \u201cHe treated me with the same respect and kindness as a 22-year-old nobody as he did after all my success,\u201d Springsteen wrote of Davis. \u201cA great man.
