Six homes connected to Ryanair staff in North Dublin have been targeted in a suspected deliberate arson attack.<\/p>\n
Gardai and Dublin Fire Brigade rushed to the scene at Fosterstown Place in Swords, Co Dublin last night after several wheelie bins were pulled up to the front doors of six homes and set on fire.<\/p>\n
It is understood two of the homes were completely engulfed in flames by the time Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene.<\/p>\n
Sources say the homes are connected to Ryanair staff who often rent the homes, which are located close to Dublin Airport.<\/p>\n
It is feared they were deliberately targeted.<\/p>\n
It is understood the wheelie bins were pulled up to the front doors of all six properties and set alight.<\/p>\n
Sources said: \u201cIt is very lucky that nobody was seriously hurt or killed. Front doors, gutters, canopies over the doors were all destroyed.\u201d<\/p>\n
It is understood that gardai are understood to be canvassing for witnesses and CCTV in the area in a bid to identify the culprit.<\/p>\n
It was widely reported in 2024 that Ryanair purchased 25 of the 28 new-built homes at the Fosterstown Place development.<\/p>\n
It was also reported that the airline uses these properties as affordable, short-term rentals for newly hired cabin crew.<\/p>\n
In a statement to the Irish Mirror gardai said: “Garda\u00ed and emergency services responded to a report of a number of incidents of criminal damage by fire at a domestic location in Swords Co. Dublin in the early hours of Tuesday 23rd June 2026.<\/p>\n
“The local fire service extinguished the fires.
