\n\t\u201cIconic By Mistake,\u201d the catchy collaboration between girl groups Katseye<\/a>, Le Sserafim<\/a> and Illit<\/a>, has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe linkup, which includes girl groups from different Hybe<\/a> sub-labels, landed at No. 38, a higher peak than most K-pop entries, which, save for a few groups, have historically had a harder time breaking onto the chart, likely due to lack of radio play in the U.S. The song also charted on several other Billboard charts including the Global 200 (No. 25) and the Global Excluding U.S. chart (No. 22). In the United Kingdom, it debuted at No. 22 on the UK singles chart.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile \u201cIconic By Mistake\u201d marks the first time the groups have charted together, each girl group has landed on the Billboard Hot 100 individually. This marks Katseye\u2019s fifth, Le Sserafim\u2019s fourth and Illit\u2019s second entry on the Hot 100. <\/p>\n

\n\tKatseye, a six-member American-based global girl group<\/a>, hails from the partnership between Hybe and Geffen Records. \u201cIconic By Mistake\u201d featured five members of the group \u2014 Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae\u00a0\u2014 as member Manon has been on a hiatus since earlier this year. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe girl group\u2019s 2025 mainstream breakout hit \u201cGnarly\u201d launched a string of successes for the group over the last year and half. Katseye was nominated for two Grammy Awards<\/a> earlier this year, including in the coveted best new artist category. They also made their Coachella debut in April and recently played to a massive crowd at the New York-based Governors Ball festival. <\/p>\n

\n\tLe Sserafim, a five-member K-pop girl group, is under Hybe sub-label Source Music. The five-member girl group, comprising members Chaewon, Sakura, Yunjin, Kazuh and Eunchae, is fresh off the release of their most recent studio album<\/a>, Pureflow Pt. 1. The album debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart earlier this month. \u201cIconic By Mistake\u201d becomes the group\u2019s highest charting song on the Hot 100. <\/p>\n

\n\tIllit, a five-member K-pop girl group, is signed to Hybe sub-label Belift, also home to the popular boy group Enhypen. The group, comprising members Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee and Iroha, recently released their fourth EP, Mamihlapinatapai. Illit\u2019s 2024 debut song, \u201cMagnetic,\u201d became a fast hit for the group, kicking off their career with an entry on the Hot 100 at No. 91. \u201cIconic By Mistake\u201d becomes their highest ranking song on the chart. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIconic By Mistake\u201d was released on June 12 and included a music video with the members of the various girl groups. Full group collaborations like this song are rare in the world of K-pop, particularly when, despite being from the same parent company, all groups are technically under different labels under Hybe.
