{"id":551276,"date":"2026-06-24T05:22:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-24T05:22:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/551276\/"},"modified":"2026-06-24T05:22:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-24T05:22:10","slug":"china-opportunity-2-0-li-qiang-calls-for-revisal-of-western-narrative-at-summer-davos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/551276\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018China Opportunity 2.0\u2019: Li Qiang calls for revisal of Western narrative at Summer Davos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/topics\/li-qiang?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Chinese Premier Li Qiang<\/a> said on Wednesday the western narrative of \u201cChina Shock 2.0\u201d is not grounded in facts and instead should be phrased as \u201cChina Opportunity 2.0\u201d, as he stressed the country is serving as a catalyst for global economic growth.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cWhat China\u2019s technologies and products in emerging fields bring to the world is not a shock, but an opportunity; not a threat, but empowerment,\u201d Li said at the opening plenary of the World Economic Forum\u2019s Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as Summer Davos, held in Dalian in northeast China\u2019s Liaoning province.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">China\u2019s competitiveness is not a result of state subsidies, but from hard work across its industries, as well as a massive domestic market that provides a broad spectrum of applications for its products, Li added.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cThe Chinese government is not that wealthy yet, and we cannot afford such subsidies either,\u201d Li said.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cChina\u2019s innovation comes from everyone\u2019s hard work in building up our internal strength.
