\n\tPresident Curtis<\/a> is getting ready to navigate the political landscape as only the Rick and Morty<\/a> universe can. <\/p>\n

\n\tAdult Swim<\/a>\u2018s new series President Curtis is set to premiere July 26 at 11:30 p.m., The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The project is a spinoff of Rick and Morty<\/a> and will debut immediately following the season nine finale<\/a> of the flagship series. President Curtis episodes will stream the following day on HBO Max<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tVoicing the titular President Andre Curtis is Keith David, who has been a\u00a0Rick and Morty\u00a0staple since debuting as the commander in chief during the season two fan-favorite \u201cGet Schwifty\u201d episode. President Curtis counts Rick and Morty executive producers Dan Harmon<\/a> and James Siciliano as co-creators.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs seen below in the trailer that is exclusive to THR, the new series will follow the leader of the free world and his quirky staff as they navigate a range of crises, including interdimensional diplomacy, paranormal investigations and unexplained phenomena. Stephanie Beatriz (Twisted Metal) and Jim Rash (Community) round out the voice cast. <\/p>\n

\n\tHarmon and Siciliano announced the news Wednesday at the Annecy<\/a> International Animation<\/a> Film Festival, where the series screened its pilot episode. Harmon and Siciliano executive produce\u00a0President Curtis\u00a0with Danielle Uhlarik, Monica Mitchell and Steve Levy.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s no better animation\u2011loving crowd than Annecy, which makes it the perfect place to debut this new series,\u201d says Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait for everyone to see how great President\u00a0Curtis\u00a0is on his own when the series premieres next month!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe trailer teases a variety of adventures for President Curtis and his team. One moment shows a young boy asking if President Curtis is his father, which leads the elected official to respond, \u201cI ain\u2019t your daddy, kid. And don\u2019t try any of that \u2018Billie Jean\u2019 shit. I keep it wrapped and strapped.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRick and Morty, which launched in 2013, has been renewed through season 12 and has ranked as basic cable\u2019s\u00a0most-watched comedy<\/a>\u00a0over several seasons. THR reported last month that Rick and Morty supervising director Jacob Hair was in talks to helm an animated feature version<\/a> of the series for\u00a0Warner Bros.<\/p>\n
