\n\tConnor Storrie<\/a> is returning to Criminal Minds: Evolution<\/a> this week as Lance Kingston. The guest star\u2019s fate looks dubious in an exclusive new clip released Wednesday ahead of Thursday\u2019s sixth episode. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe Criminal Minds squad crashes into the unit that Storrie\u2019s Lance had been in to find him seemingly unconscious and branded, the result of the last episode\u2019s torture of the man who had been held hostage.<\/p>\n

\n\tStorrie has been guest starring on the show\u2019s 19th season. His four-episode guest arc began on June 11 and will continue over the next two episodes. The role is the 26-year-old\u2019s first televised role since his breakout in the surprise hit television series, Heated Rivalry but was filmed before the series premiered.<\/p>\n

\n\tHailing from Canadian streamer Crave and airing on HBO Max in the U.S., Heated Rivalry centers on a fictional hockey universe based on the popular romance books by Reid. The show\u2019s first season is based on the second novel, Heated Rivalry<\/a>. Tierney created, wrote and directed the series.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe show focuses on two rival professional players \u2014\u00a0Canada-born Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams)<\/a>\u00a0of the fictitious Montreal Metros and\u00a0Russia-born Ilya Rozanov (Storrie)<\/a>\u00a0of the fictitious Boston Raiders \u2014 as they navigate a\u00a0near-decade-long situationship<\/a>-turned-relationship. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe show has made certified stars out of both Storrie and Williams. In the months since the show\u2019s premiere, the pair have presented at the Golden Globes, served as torchbearers in the 2026 Olympic Torch Relay, attended the Met Gala and each booked post-Heated Rivalry roles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tCrave\u00a0renewed\u00a0Heated Rivalry\u00a0for a second season<\/a>\u00a0early into the show\u2019s first season run. HBO Max has confirmed it will continue to air the series. The show is slated to shoot the second season this summer and is\u00a0aiming for a spring 2027 release<\/a>. The upcoming season will be based on the next installment of Shane and Ilya\u2019s story in Reid\u2019s novels,\u00a0The Long Game<\/a>, along with the fifth book in the series,\u00a0Role Model<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tReid\u00a0announced earlier this year that she\u2019ll be publishing<\/a>\u00a0her seventh book in the\u00a0Game Changers\u00a0series. The book,\u00a0Unrivaled<\/a>, will be the next chapter in Shane and Ilya\u2019s story, which is set to be released in June 2027<\/a>.<\/p>\n
