\n\tWith shooting now underway in the south of France on dark comedy \u201cThe Worst,\u201d the production has added a major cohort of names to its already buzzy cast.<\/p>\n
\n\tSam Claflin<\/a> (\u201cF.A.S.T.,\u201d \u201cDaisy Jones and the Six\u201d), Tom Hollander<\/a> (\u201cGosford Park,\u201d \u201cThe Night Manager\u201d), Anthony Boyle<\/a> (\u201cI See Buildings Fall Like Lightning,\u201d \u201cThe Altruists\u201d), Josh Finan<\/a> (\u201cSay Nothing,\u201d \u201cWaiting for the Out\u201d), Anna Maxwell Martin (\u201cStar City,\u201d \u201cUntil I Kill You\u201d), Dustin Demri-Burns (\u201cThe Magic Faraway Tree,\u201d \u201cSlow Horses\u201d) and Sian Clifford (\u201cFleabag,\u201d \u201cThe Ballad of Wallis Island\u201d) have joined the film, which was first announced by Variety earlier this year. <\/p>\n \n\tZackary Momoh (\u201cDoctor Sleep,\u201d \u201cParish\u201d) and Eka Chavleishvili (\u201cBlackbird Blackbird Blackberry\u201d) round out the ensemble. <\/p>\n \n\tThe new additions join the previously announced Keira Knightley (\u201cThe Imitation Game, Pride & Prejudice\u201d), Alicia Vikander (\u201cFirebrand,\u201d \u201cThe Danish Girl\u201d) and Erin Kellyman (\u201cEleanor the Great,\u201d \u201c28 Years Later\u201d). Meanwhile, Boyle replaces fellow Belfast-born actor Jamie Dornan, who was originally cast. <\/p>\n \n\tMarking the feature directorial debut of Simon Woods, \u201cThe Worst\u201d \u2014\u00a0which was launched at the European Film Market by Protagonist Pictures, Logical Pictures Group and UTA Independent Film Group \u2014\u00a0is described as a \u201cwickedly entertaining class satire\u201d that \u201cskewers privilege, power and performative morality, turning an elegant couples\u2019 getaway into a hilariously disastrous night to remember.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe film centers on socialite Emily Fisher (Vikander) and her husband Max (Hollander) as they invite their equally wealthy friends to their new chateau in France for the night. Among the guests are a group of people who really can\u2019t stand each other: Jim (Clafin) and his wife Holly (Knightley), a struggling diversity consultant who continuously clashes with everyone until she gets a migraine, and Danny (Boyle) a quick-witted talent agent that name-drops his client list every chance he gets. As the evening begins to unravel and dark secrets are revealed, waitress Niamh (Kellyman) finds herself right in the middle of their chaos.<\/p>\n \n\tWritten and helmed by actor-turned-playwright-turned-director Woods (National Theatre\u2019s \u201cHansard,\u201d \u201cSuch a Lovely Day\u201d), \u201cThe Worst\u201d is being produced by Andy Berg and John Sachs of Eclipse Films, alongside BAFTA winner Josh Hyams of Promise Pictures. Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Fiore, Ryan Wickers and Andrei Kamarowsky serve as executive producers for Logical Pictures Group, alongside Dave Bishop, James Pugh and George Hamilton for Protagonist Pictures and Charles Low for Eclipse.<\/p>\n \n\tLogical Pictures Group are financing the film, and co-rep international sales alongside Protagonist Pictures.
