\n\tLizzy Caplan<\/a> has joined the cast of FX<\/a>\u2018s upcoming \u201cFar Cry<\/a>\u201d TV series, Variety has learned. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe series was first reported to be set up at FX in November 2025<\/a> from creators Noah Hawley and Rob Mac, with Mac also set to star. Exact plot and character details remain under wraps, but the series will follow an anthology format like the \u201cFar Cry\u201d video games and feature a different cast and setting each season.<\/p>\n

\n\tCaplan is no stranger to FX, having recently starred in the limited series \u201cFleishman Is In Trouble\u201d for the basic cabler. Her work in that show earned her an Emmy nomination for outstanding lead actress in a limited series. She was previously nominated outstanding lead actress in a drama for her work in the Showtime series \u201cMasters of Sex.\u201d Caplan\u2019s other TV roles include \u201cFatal Attraction\u201d at Paramount+, \u201cZero Day\u201d at Netflix, \u201cParty Down\u201d for Starz, and \u201cCastle Rock\u201d at Hulu. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn film, Caplan recently appeared in the thriller \u201cCobweb\u201d and has starred in features including the \u201cNow You See Me\u201d franchise, \u201cCloverfield,\u201d and \u201c127 Hours.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tShe is repped by UTA, Rise Management and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFar Cry\u201d will air on FX, Hulu, and Disney+ internationally. Mac will executive produce under his More Better Productions banner, while Hawley will executive produce under his overall deal with FX and Disney Entertainment Television via 26 Keys. Simon Emanuel will also executive produce along with Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Monica Macer, Peter Calloway, John Campisi, and Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. The series will be produced by FX Productions.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis will be the first live-action \u201cFar Cry\u201d adaptation for TV. The games were previously adapted into a 2008 direct-to-video film starring Til Schweiger and directed by Uwe Boll. Netflix, meanwhile, released the animated series \u201cCaptain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix\u201d in 2023, which was inspired by \u201cFar Cry 3: Blood Dragon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe first \u201cFar Cry\u201d game was released in 2004. Since then, five other games in the main series have been released along with numerous spinoffs. The most recent game, \u201cFar Cry 6,\u201d was released in 2021.
