John John Florence is living life right.<\/strong> Meaning, of course, that he\u2019s living life the way he sees fit. And the way he sees fit is to live a life full of travel, exploration, and adventure. That lifestyle, however, is tough to do properly if you\u2019ve got a regular old house with a foundation stuck to the Earth, so John\u2019s solution was simple, if not reminiscent of a mid-life crises: buy a boat, quit his job, and sail the oceans blue. And recently, Huckberry, purveyor of clothing and media content, put together a little film<\/a> exploring the nooks and crannies of the Vela<\/a>, John\u2019s 48-foot gunboat.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat does a three-time World Champion do when he\u2019s not chasing the world\u2019s most dangerous swells?\u201d Huckberry asks. \u201cHe\u2019s likely offshore, navigating the Pacific with his family aboard Vela, a high-performance catamaran engineered for the ultimate off-grid life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Huckberry Homes<\/a>, a fantastic series of films looking at interesting houses owned by interesting people around the world, met up with the Florence family while they were in Fiji. It\u2019s a lot more than just a boat. Everything has a place and everything is in its place. It\u2019s designed for plenty of storage with plenty of performance, and although it might be cramped, it suits the task at hand perfectly.<\/p>\n
