Punters at a small Dublin venue got a shock on Friday evening when Michael Bule made a surprise appearance.<\/p>\n
The Ruby Sessions<\/a> in Doyles on College Green has been a staple of the Irish music scene since 1999. Music fans buy tickets for the gigs with no idea who the performers will be on the night.<\/p>\n The likes of Hozier, Paulo Nutini, Mumford & Sons and Ed Sheeran have previous graced the famous stage and last night, Buble added his name to the illustrious list, much to the delight of fans. One attendee could be heard exclaiming: “Michael Buible! Holy s**t!”<\/p>\n In response, the Canadian crooner quipped: “I know! I can’t believe I’m here either. I’m not saying that it’s true, but I was hoping for Lewis Capaldi.” His set included his hits Dance With Me Tonight and Heart Skips a Beat alongside a cover of Van Morrison’s Moondance.<\/p>\n Buble is in Ireland for shows at Malahide Castle on Saturday and Thomond Park in Limerick<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n The Ruby Sessions was founded in 1999 by Niall Muckian and Conor Donovan and usually takes place on Tuesday evenings.<\/p>\n Want to see more of the stories you love from Dublin Live?
