The fifth entry into the beloved Pixar series was also this year\u2019s biggest debut, surpassing \u201cThe Super Mario Galaxy Movie,\u201d and set the franchise opening weekend record. Over the last two weeks in theaters, \u201cToy Story 5\u201d has already grossed an estimated $297 million in North America and $585 worldwide. This puts it on track to break the franchise record for total box office gross, currently held by \u201cToy Story 4\u201d which made a total of $1.07 billion in 2019. The final installment in the iconic prank comedy franchise grossed about $8.4 million in North American theaters.
