Footage has emerged of Alexander Isak’s first day in training for Liverpool<\/a>. The Sweden international completed a \u00a3125million move to Anfield on transfer deadline day this summer when he was officially unveiled as a Reds player.<\/p>\n The 25-year-old’s switch to Merseyside smashed the British transfer record<\/a>, but was fraught with controversy after he spent three years at Newcastle United<\/a>. Isak went on strike to force the move, having missed the club’s pre-season tour of the Far East due to a minor injury. As a result, he played no part in the Magpies’ pre-season preparations or the first month of the Premier League<\/a> season.<\/p>\n Liverpool’s new forward is poised to make his debut for Arne Slot’s team on Sunday<\/a> afternoon against newly-promoted Burnley<\/a>. These are the days, my friend,” another supporter commented.<\/p>\n “Imagine Isak alongside Salah, Wirtz and Gakpo. I can’t believe my life right now,” another enthused. “I still can\u2019t believe he plays for my club,” added another.<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n Speaking while on international duty with Sweden this week, Isak has claimed that people do not have the full story on his acrimonious departure from Newcastle<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Not everyone has the full picture, but that’s something for another day,” he told Swedish media.<\/p>\n “That’s part of football. I can’t control everything that is said or written but I’m glad I became a Liverpool player. That’s what I wanted and I’m happy about that.<\/p>\n “There is a lot to discuss, and it can be discussed for a long time. It has been educational, and I’m happy with the final result.<\/p>\n “I’m happy and proud to be a Liverpool player. I don’t want to go into details or talk about that situation too much.
