“First they crawled… now they seem to be evolving through information exchange.” \ud83e\udddf Evolving zombies! Well Go USA has revealed the official US trailer for this crazy wild “infected” zombie horror<\/a> thriller from Korea titled Colony<\/strong>. Directed by the same K-zombie mastermind behind the movies Seoul Station, Train to Busan, Peninsula, and other genre films recently. Yeon Sang-ho returns to his zombie roots with Colony – a nonstop thrill-ride packed with everything gross and scary in one movie. At a biotech conference, a rapidly mutating virus is unleashed. As the outbreak spreads and the infected begin to transform, they seal off the building. Starring Gianna Jun<\/strong>, Koo Kyo-hwan<\/strong>, Ji Chang-wook<\/strong>, Shin Hyun-been<\/strong>, Kim Shin-rock<\/strong>, Go Soo<\/strong>. The real “colony” aspect of this is explained in this new trailer \u2013 it’s some sort of “mutant zombie monster” creation hivemind linked by all this gross white stuff, an “information exchange” connected mega zombie. Colony premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival in the Midnight section back in May \u2013\u00a0though reviews<\/a> were mixed, with some enjoying it, others not so much. Well Go is dropping Colony into US theaters to spread the infection everywhere in August<\/a> at the end of this summer. Check out the freaky footage below.<\/p>\n

A biotechnology professor, Se-jeong (Jun Ji-hyun), is attending a biotech conference that erupts into chaos with the release of a rapidly mutating virus. The outbreak results in the transformation of infected people, prompting authorities to seal off the facility and trap survivors inside with an escalating threat. Colony, also known as \uad70\uccb4, is directed by prolific Korean genre filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho<\/strong><\/a>, known for sparking the global K-zombie frenzy with the set of movies The King of Pigs, The Fake, Seoul Station, Train to Busan, Psychokinesis, Peninsula, continuing on with the films JUNG_E, Hellbound, The Bequeathed, Revelations<\/a>, The Ugly<\/a>, plus the series “Parasyte: The Grey<\/a>“. The screenplay is written by Yeon Sang-ho & Choi Gyu-seok. Produced by Yoomin Hailey Yang. This premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival in May in the Midnight section<\/a>.
