And you thought your boyfriend was oblivious. Chad Michael Murray<\/a> apparently had no idea how drastic the Hilary Duff<\/a> vs. Lindsay Lohan<\/a> feud was when he brought Hil as his date for the Freaky Friday premiere. \u201cI didn\u2019t understand any of the real weight of what was going on,\u201d Murray told Parade<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t remember the timeline of when I learned about A, B, C, and D, but I loved hanging with Hil. We were spending time together, but I remember everybody saying, \u2018Hey guys, we need you to spend more time together.\u2019 We had a big kissing scene, we had the big dance scene, so there were a ton of nerves and we wanted to be comfortable. So I was like, \u2018Well, let\u2019s go to the premiere. Come on, we\u2019ll hang out!\u2019\u2019\u2019 Yeah, CMM, what\u2019s the worst that can happen? A yearslong feud is being amplified by 100. Hey, at least it didn\u2019t lead to Lohan making fun of Duff on SNL. Oh wait<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Duff ended up going because she wanted to stir the pot. She knew it would piss off Lohan, her \u201cchildhood nemesis,\u201d as she told Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy<\/a> in February. Poor CMM, at least he has some comfort in knowing the beef is over now. \u201cI found out right before we went inside that [bringing Hilary] was not the greatest idea,\u201d Murray said. \u201cBut when you\u2019re 19, you have no foresight. I didn\u2019t think anything through. But everybody\u2019s lovely, I loved them, and I think they have squashed all that junk.\u201d They did make amends over shots at the club, as all good beefs should end. But who\u2019s to say a love-triangle rom-com for Murray, LiLo, and Duff shouldn\u2019t be in development? It\u2019s millennial gold waiting to be mined.<\/p>\n
