Pizzaoli<\/a> celebrated its grand opening in Dania Beach this past Sunday, planting a Connecticut-style thin-crust pizzeria directly opposite the Maple Ridge and Oakridge Jewish community, a stretch of Broward County that\u2019s been steadily growing as a kosher dining destination.<\/p>\n

Connecticut Thin Crust, Done Kosher<\/p>\n

Pizzaoli\u2019s whole identity is built around the Connecticut thin-crust style, the charred, blistered, ultra-thin pie that New Haven made famous and that almost nobody is doing under hashgacha anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon line. The kitchen makes a point of skipping seed oils entirely, using extra virgin olive oil across the menu instead. That\u2019s a notable departure from the standard kosher pizzeria playbook and gives the crust a different char and flavor profile than the typical New York slice shop.<\/p>\n

The menu leans into the format with a Thin Crust Meat Lovers Pizza and a Thin Crust Caprese Pizza among the standouts, alongside calzones including a Classic Cheese version. Vegetarian pies are well represented across the menu too.<\/p>\n
