Controversial Belfast punk-rap group Kneecap said Wednesday they had performed a secret gig in Berlin after several of their concerts in Germany were canceled last year.<\/p>\n

The band, whose members sing in Irish, have had multiple international concerts called off over their pro-Palestinian stance and other controversies.<\/p>\n

The band said on X that Tuesday\u2019s performance was their \u201cfirst ever German show.\u201d<\/p>\n

A recording posted on the band\u2019s Instagram account showed a band member expressing \u201csolidarity to our Palestinian brothers and sisters\u201d and leading the tightly-packed crowd in a chant of \u201cfree, free Palestine!\u201d<\/p>\n

One of Kneecap\u2019s members faced a terrorism charge in the UK over allegedly displaying a flag of the Iran-backed Lebanese terror group Hezbollah at a concert in November 2024.<\/p>\n

However, in March London\u2019s High Court upheld a decision to dismiss the case<\/a> over procedural errors by prosecutors.<\/p>\n

Canada barred Kneecap last year from entering the country, citing the group\u2019s alleged support for Hezbollah and for the Hamas terror group.<\/p>\n

However, a performance in Paris<\/a> in September went ahead despite objections from French Jewish groups and government officials.<\/p>\n

The group also played England\u2019s famous<\/a> Glastonbury Festival in June 2025 and drew packed audiences in Tokyo in January.<\/p>\n
