Lexi Minetree<\/a> used the pink carpet to pay homage to her Elle<\/a> predecessor Reese Witherspoon<\/a> at the London premiere of the new prequel show on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The Elle actress and executive producer already look eerily similar, despite sharing no DNA. But if you took a look at Minetree\u2019s fashions at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Tuesday and thought she might be Witherspoon, that\u2019s because Witherspoon has already worn the look. <\/p>\n

At the U.K. premiere of the Prime Video series, Minetree wore the same Stella McCartney\u00a0dress Witherspoon herself sported at the 2014 Met Gala. The theme was \u201cCharles James: Beyond Fashion<\/a>,\u201d and the Academy Award winner was styled by Leslie Framer.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s more is Molly Dickson, who styled Minetree for the London showing, is the former assistant of Framer, according to Women\u2019s Wear Daily<\/a>. <\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Dickson has winked at Witherspoon\u2019s fashions during her own press run as Elle Woods. The stylist borrowed<\/a> from Witherspoon\u2019s very own personal archives when dressing Minetree for her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon; the Elle actress wore the exact same Marc Jacobs dress Witherspoon wore to the Legally Blonde<\/a> premiere in 2001.<\/p>\n

Elle arrived on the streamer on Wednesday, serving as a Legally Blonde prequel series<\/a>, spotlighting Elle Woods\u2019 time high school. <\/p>\n

Angie Han pointed out Minetree\u2019s striking similarity to Witherspoon in The Hollywood Reporter\u2018s Elle review<\/a>, which reads, \u201cMuch of\u00a0Elle\u2019s initial draw rests on the lead performance by Minetree, which hews uncannily close to Reese Witherspoon\u2019s from the movie. Not only does Minetree look more like Witherspoon (who\u2019s credited as an EP) than Witherspoon\u2019s own daughter, she nails every vocal inflection and physical tic with sweet-as-pie precision.\u201d<\/p>\n
