Laois Lotto players are celebrating after collecting their winning prize.<\/p>\n

A family syndicate\u00a0in the county won \u20ac389,066 after matching five numbers and the bonus in the main Lotto draw with a ticket bought at SuperValu Portlaoise.<\/p>\n

The syndicate says the win came as a huge surprise: \u201cWe were just passing by, and it\u00a0wouldn\u2019t\u00a0be a shop we would normally buy our tickets in.\u00a0A\u00a0couple of days later,\u00a0we heard that there\u00a0was in a win in the store\u00a0so that made us check the ticket. When it was scanned\u00a0in store, we were handed a slip telling us to contact the National Lottery. That was when the nerves really started!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u00a0couldn\u2019t\u00a0get home quick enough. Of course, we got stuck in traffic, which only added to the stress. I\u00a0couldn\u2019t\u00a0get rid of\u00a0the ticket\u00a0quick enough\u00a0knowing how much it was now worth!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
