Securities on Thursday (Jul 2) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to partner in the area of wealth management, to enhance their services to clients in Asia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">The venture will see the two parties explore four areas of collaboration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">First, DBS clients will be able to access the South Korean market through investments in solutions offered by Samsung Securities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">Broader global solutions will also be available to clients of Samsung Securities, including access to the Singapore lender\u2019s multi-asset global wealth solutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">Next, in terms of client connectivity, advisory services will be offered to serve clients\u2019 global wealth management needs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">Finally, joint learning and innovation development in areas such as artificial intelligence and thought leadership in wealth management will be facilitated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">Park Jong-moon, president and CEO of Samsung Securities, said: \u201cBy pairing Samsung Securities\u2019 strength in South Korea\u2019s capital markets with DBS\u2019 regional and global wealth platform, we can offer clients a more connected and differentiated wealth experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">This move comes amid clients increasingly seeking professional advice to grow their wealth and businesses, as Asia cements its place as a global wealth management hub, said the Thursday statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words mb-4 md:mb-6\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-component\">Tan Su Shan, CEO of DBS, noted: \u201cAsia is fast becoming the world\u2019s wealth engine, and
