Sadly, Casualty viewers will not be visiting Holby General this weekend as BBC One and BBC Two will instead be showing Day 6 and 7 of the Wimbledon tournament. Here’s when the series will be returning as the show takes another mid-boxset break. <\/p>\n

Wimbledon isn’t the only major sporting event to have thrown a spanner in the works when it comes to TV scheduling as the World Cup has also had a knock on effect<\/a> to other beloved soaps, including Coronation Street<\/a> and Emmerdale<\/a>. <\/p>\n

However, it will only be another week until Casualty returns to our TV screens, with Episode 10 airing on Saturday 11 July<\/strong> at 8.50pm on BBC One. And following from last Saturday’s (27 June) episode, things seemingly get worse for Dylan Keogh. <\/p>\n

In the previous episode<\/a>, Dylan’s relationship with his son Matty cracked further after the character learned of his son’s affair with best friend Stevie, as well as his cover-up of her medical mistake, which led Dylan to report her for sexual coercion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When Stevie received no repercussion following an investigation and both her and Matty expressed their frustration to Dylan at what had transpired, it seemed as though he would be a one man show for his speech at a medical institute later that evening. <\/p>\n

However, a conversation with Stevie<\/a> influenced Matty to give his father a second chance and he arrived at the institute to hear part of his speech, which received riotous applause.<\/p>\n

But when he attempted to surprise Dylan, Matty saw him down a few champagne flutes, which led him to leave the room as his dad slowly started to relapse. <\/p>\n

Next week’s tagline suggests that Dylan is only going to spiral further, as it says: “Dylan spirals as Matty confronts him about his drinking.” <\/p>\n

Casualty<\/strong> airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.<\/strong><\/p>\n
