Liam Gallagher<\/a> has given his full support to England fans and players adopting Oasis\u2019 \u2018Wonderwall\u2019 as their World Cup anthem.<\/p>\n After the first victory of the tournament against Croatia in the group stages, \u2018Wonderwall\u2019 was played over the stadium speaker, which led to a delightful embrace between the England fans and team, who sang the classic anthem together.<\/p>\n Last night, after Harry Kane\u2019s two goals saw England stage a late comeback to overcome DR Congo, the scenes were repeated again at the Atlanta Stadium.<\/p>\n Now, Liam has urged fans to keep singing \u2018Wonderwall\u2019, taking to X to write, \u201cLet\u2019s keep the BIBLICAL VIBRATIONS going if the the GOVERNMENTS we put in power can\u2019t bring it then it\u2019s down to the PEOPLE cmon ENGLAND\u201d.<\/p>\n Additionally, in response to a fan who replied, \u201cI can tell you\u2019re pleased with this England win\u201d, Gallagher said he wants the national team to fill the feel-good void carved out by Oasis last summer, writing, \u201cI am the country needs good vibrations until the mighty O comes back life is meant to be good not shit\u201d.<\/p>\n While no further Oasis dates have been announced since their Oasis Live \u201925 came to a close last November, another leg in 2027 has been heavily speculated<\/a>, and Liam\u2019s latest comments only make that possibility look increasingly likely.<\/p>\n Throughout the match, Gallagher also gave a running commentary on his preferred social media platform, posting remarks such as, \u201cCmon England cmon Wonderwall\u201d, and following the winning goal, he characteristically shared, \u201cHarry Kane lick it up to ras\u201d.<\/p>\n He also told one disgruntled fan who was moaning about the England team and fans uniting through \u2018Wonderwall\u2019 to \u201ccheer up you spunkbubble\u201d.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher, despite not being an England fan, is also in favour of the song\u2019s new lease of life<\/a>, telling TalkSPORT, \u201cDo you know what, I thought it was a great moment, I couldn\u2019t actually believe what I was saying.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m staggered that Jude Bellingham knows the lyrics, but it\u2019s one of those songs,\u201d he added, in reference to footage of the Real Madrid star belting out the song in Texas, who was again in full voice for \u2018Wonderwall\u2019 on July 1st in Atlanta.<\/p>\n Fingers crossed that England fans get another opportunity to sing \u2018Wonderwall\u2019 at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City on July 5th after another win.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s keep the BIBLICAL VIBRATIONS going if the the GOVERNMENTS we put in power can\u2019t bring it then it\u2019s down to the PEOPLE cmon ENGLAND<\/p>\n \u2014 Liam Gallagher (@liamgallagher) July 1, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n
