The Yellowstone spin-off <\/a>has proved a major success with audiences, chronicling the journey of Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (played by Cole Hauser) as they carve out a fresh start on a Texan ranch, reports the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yet shadows from their Yellowstone past linger as they attempt to safeguard their future.<\/p>\n

Tensions with a neighbouring ranch and other parties pursuing their own agendas could pose serious threats to Rip and Beth’s new life.<\/p>\n

As Season 1 draws to a close, here’s what lies ahead for Dutton Ranch.<\/p>\n

Will there be a Dutton Ranch Season 2?<\/p>\n

The short answer is yes. Paramount confirmed the show’s renewal recently, just before Dutton Ranch concluded its broadcast run.<\/p>\n

In a statement from the streaming service, Matt Thunell, President of Paramount Television Studios, said: “Dutton Ranch has resonated with audiences in a powerful way, building on the legacy of beloved characters, while establishing its own identity.<\/p>\n

“Thank you to our partners at Paramount+ and 101 Studios for a phenomenal first season. We look forward to bringing fans more stories from these unforgettable characters in Season 2.”<\/p>\n

The renewal comes as little surprise considering Dutton Ranch became Paramount+’s most successful original series launch in the platform’s entire history.<\/p>\n

No announcement has yet been made regarding when Dutton Ranch Season 2 will air, with timing wholly dependent on when filming commences.<\/p>\n

Following the exit of Dutton Ranch’s creator Chad Feehan shortly before its premiere, the programme will need to find a new showrunner to helm the drama.<\/p>\n

Who will be in the cast of Dutton Ranch Season 2?<\/p>\n

British actress Reilly and American star Hauser are anticipated to reprise their roles as lead characters Beth and Rip respectively.<\/p>\n

Among the supporting cast anticipated to return are Juan Pablo Raba as Joaquin Jackson Reyes, J. R. Villarreal as Azul Ramos, Marc Menchaca as Zachariah Moss, and Natalie Alyn Lind as Oreana Lynn Jackson.<\/p>\n

Jai Courtney will not be returning following his character Rob-Will Jackson’s on-screen death by shooting.<\/p>\n

The second series will pick up from the dramatic climax of the first, which saw Beth and Rip desperately attempting to rescue their kidnapped son, Carter.<\/p>\n
