{"id":570704,"date":"2026-07-05T23:34:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-05T23:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/570704\/"},"modified":"2026-07-05T23:34:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-05T23:34:13","slug":"man-20s-in-critical-condition-after-suffering-head-injury-in-central-dublin-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/570704\/","title":{"rendered":"Man (20s) in critical condition after suffering head injury in central Dublin \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">A man in his 20s is in critical condition in hospital after suffering a head injury about the time he was ejected from a venue in central Dublin at the weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">He was later found on Hawkins Street, in the south inner city, and initially taken to St James\u2019s Hospital for treatment. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">However, because he had sustained a head injury and due to concerns over his condition, he was transferred to Beaumont Hospital for specialist head treatment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The Irish Times understands his ejection from the venue in which he had earlier been socialising, and his interaction with staff and other patrons there, is at the centre of the Garda inquiry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The venue is understood to be covered by CCTV.
